WHAT a difference a week makes, just the type of gritty performances and defensive solidity missing against Cardiff. A few hairy moments but two clean sheets and the perfect answer to those of us so critical of the defenders during October. Souttar was back to his best, rock solid no frills defending aided by Baath doing what he does best. It’s meant becoming more direct but with Fletcher winning his fair share of headers and the ever-willing Brown adapting his game all the time, it’s had its reward with six points. Wilmot has had his critics and probably was due a rest, but a chink of light. He’s good enough to play wing back and so there is a route back, twice in his brief cameo he stole forward with more purpose than Smith had.

A final word for Sawyers, when he finds space his ball retention and passing is a joy, his assist for the goal being the one moment of class in a scrappy game.

Adrian Butters

Sawyers much better when not being asked to do a DM job. Also more power mad bookings from another poor ref. Ten yellows in two games is a joke.

Barry Sherratt

Quite the turnaround after a difficult October. Credit to the manager and team for working their way back. Two excellent away performances - and Jacob Brown continues to answer his critics…..

Alan Davies

We were looking very iffy at defending a marginal 1-0. Might not be pretty, but they’ve turned it. Sometimes points are all that matters.

Alan Brenton

Good three points but why do we make hard work of every game? Subs leave a lot to be desired, Vrancic should have replaced Sawyers and Ty should of come on for Fletch to help Brown out.

Julie Williams

Fought hard and defended well. Danny Batth seems to have been the missing link. Well played guys.

Trevor Harley

Nathan Jones having a go at Tymon at the end, something been simmering it seems.
