CO-OP STORE SET TO BECOME NISA

-

A CITY Co-op store is set to shut. Signs have gone up outside the Baddeley Green branch advising customers that it will replaced with a Nisa.

There are not set to be redundancies with workers at the store set to remain with the Co-op or go to the new operator.

A Co-op spokesman said: “The decision to sell any store is not taken lightly and, only after careful consideration is our store in Baddeley Green, above, to be sold.

“Our priority has been to safeguard local jobs, and colleagues will all either remain with the Co-op or transfer to the new operator. We would like to thank the community for its support.”
