MAN IS LEGALLY PRESCRIBED CANNABIS BY NHS

-

CANNABIS user Jack Donelon sold the drug to friends to fund his own habit.

The 24-year-old was a passenger in a car stopped by police in Sneyd Green, and officers found cannabis in a crisp packet, which he admitted was his.

His phone was analysed and contained messages which linked him to the supply of cannabis. Donelon admitted he was a regular user of the drug and sold some to help pay for his own use. Now Donelon has been handed a 12-month community order and a £280 court bill at North Staffordshire Justice Centre.

Donolen, of Back Lane, Congleton, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis. The court heard he is now part of Project 21, an NHS service to legally prescribe cannabis to users.
