ELECTIONS: MAY 5, 2022

Local elections are taking place in Newcastle next month. There are 44 borough council seats up for grabs across 21 wards, ranging from one to three seats per ward. In total there are 103 candidates – 44 Conservative, 44 Labour, eight Lib Dems, two Greens, one Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition, and four independents (of whom three are representing the Stop The Stink campaign).
