‘Maybe Ukrainians would think twice’

-

PHILIP Sandland (Sentinel, May 4) welcomes Ukrainians because they are not Asian or Africans who have ‘poured into this country with virtually no integration’ which ‘can only end in disaster’.

But Ukrainians, being on the Asian border, may be tainted by proximity.

Rather than embrace our way of life, they will corrupt us with their culture of drunken football hooliganism, picnicking at graves and plunging into ice holes.

Worse, they may follow earlier Asian immigrants in elbowing their way into higher education, stealing our NHS jobs and turning oatcake shops into curry houses.

And Mr Sandland overlooks those West Indians who ‘poured’ over here – just to get out of the sun!

If these Ukrainians knew they would be sent to Rwanda, they’d think twice about running away from the likes of Mariupol just because of a few bombs.

Mind you, it doesn’t seem to deter those fleeing torture in places like Syria.
