‘One rule for Keir, another for Boris’

-

WE read about Sir Keir Starmer telling the Prime Minister to resign over the Partygate scandal.

But wait, it appears the Labour Party leader has had a party with two birthday cakes which was against the

rules during coronavirus lockdown

Well are we going to see Starmer resign?

I don’t think so. In my opinion, he is nothing but a hypocrite. He knew he had broken the rules when he started to have a go at the Prime Minister about Partygate.

In April 2021, the tier 2 restrictions stated: “You must not socialise indoors except with your household or support bubble.”

We now know that Starmer and his deputy Angela Rayner drank beer and ate a meal indoors with people not from their household or from their bubble.

Pictures have been acquired by certain newspapers showing Starmer drinking out of a bottle in a room with at least three people in.

It has been reported that there were two cakes there for his birthday.

He has been asked questions over this Beergate episode many times on the TV and on the radio but he keeps saying no rules were broken.

Do we have rules for one political group and different rules for another?

He should be held to account like Boris.

He should be fined and then Boris can tell him to resign.

Is he any better than the last leader of the Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn? I once thought so, but not now.
