DRIVER WAS THREE TIMES THE LIMIT ON A500

A 25-YEAR-OLD man has admitted driving while more than three times the alcohol limit.

Christopher Nellis pleaded guilty to drink-driving during a hearing at North Staffordshire Justice Centre.

The court heard the offence took place on April 18 on the A500. Nellis, of Watermeadow Grove, Etruria, had an alcohol reading of 116 against a legal limit of 35.

Magistrates adjourned the case to allow a pre-sentence report to be prepared by the Probation Service. Nellis will be sentenced on Tuesday, May 31.
