APPEAL AFTER WOMAN, 31, DIES IN EARLY MORNING CRASH

A 31-YEAR-OLD woman died in an early morning crash.

Police were called to Macclesfield Road, in Poolend, near Rudyard, at 3.10am on Saturday following reports of a single-vehicle collision.

The driver of a white Audi

A3, from Cheshire, was found unresponsive. Sadly, she was pronounced dead by paramedics a short time later.

The woman’s family are being supported by specially trained police officers and her name has yet to be released.

PC Martin Colclough said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or those who may have relevant dashcam footage of the area at the time of the incident.”
