Game faces on
CORRIE actor Colson Smith is scared of the hurdles, The Wanted singer Max George is psyched up for speed climbing, while reality star Olivia Attwood wants to put her party days behind her and prove she’s no quitter.
Welcome to The Games, which over five nights this week, will see 12 celebrities go headto-head in a range of sporting challenges.
They have already endured weeks of intensive training, coached by athletes, swimmers and cyclists, in the hope of coming top of the medals table.
Hosted live every night by
Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff, with Alex Scott as trackside reporter and Chris Kamara as commentator, a different panel of sporting legends will also join every show.
Joining Olivia, Max and Colson are influencer Phoenix Gulzar-brown (daughter of Mel B), ex-strictly pro Kevin Clifton, songwriter Chelcee Grimes, Harry Potter actor Josh Herdman, author and model Christine Mcguinness, newsreader Lucrezia Millarini, Emmerdale’s Rebecca Sarker, former
Corrie actor Ryan Thomas and musician Wes Nelson.
They will battle it out in the athletics arena, swimming pool, gymnasium and velodrome, testing their sporting prowess in events ranging from the 100m sprint to diving and the hammer.
As well as live coverage, we’ll see how they prepared to reach peak physical condition.
Rebecca says: “I think you have to be a little bit scared of things sometimes. It’s not a bad thing to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Remind me I said all this when the time comes!”
