BUYERS can bid for a house in North Staffordshire with an asking price of just £14,000 at an auction next week.

A semi-detached house at 7 Mulberry Place, in Newcastle, is one of the lowest priced lots in the region going under the hammer at Bond Wolfe’s next auction on May 19.

The three-bedroom house, is set back from the road behind a front garden. Inside there is a kitchen downstairs, with a bathroom, WC and three bedrooms upstairs.

This freehold property also has a reception room and a back garden. It has been described as an ‘investment property’.

It currently generates rental income of £4,440 per annum. It has a guide price of £14,000 to £19,000.

Another site that has a guide price of just £20,000-plus is an end-terrace house at 4 Homer Street in Hanley. But, it is in need of modernisation.

Standing flush to the pavement and with a rear yard, vehicle access and a store, the property is laid out with two reception rooms and the kitchen downstairs and two bedrooms, a box room/dressing room and a bathroom with WC upstairs. It is also fitted with gas-fired central heating and UPVC double glazing.

A two bedroom semi-detached house, in Bentilee, is also going under the hammer with a guide price of £25,000-plus. With gardens at the front and back, 12 Brundall Oval is laid out with a hall, reception room, dining kitchen and store/pantry downstairs and two bedrooms and the bathroom with WC upstairs.

The vacant freehold property has a gas fired central heating system, UPVC double glazing and stands back from the road. It is described as a ‘modernisation project in need of completion’.

However, little work is needed at 10 Rosebery Street in Tunstall. This three bedroom, mid-terrace house, with a guide price of £55,000-plus, is virtually ready for occupation.

It has two reception rooms, a kitchen and the bathroom with WC downstairs and three bedrooms upstairs. There is also a loft room, a rear yard and gas-fired central heating.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe, said: “Properties like this offer an ideal opportunity for those with some DIY skills looking for their first step on the property ladder, or investors looking to boost their rental portfolio.

“Some properties require more work than others, but all come with guide prices that are a fraction of market values and offer a huge return for those prepared to invest time and energy.”

He added: “Once again there is a terrific choice or properties, and we are expecting plenty of competitive bidding on the day.”

These are just a few of the 161 lots listed in Bond Wolfe’s next auction, which starts at 9am on Thursday, May 19. The auction will be live-streamed via Bond Wolfe’s website, with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet only.
