‘I JUST APOLOGISE AND WILL TAKE THE PUNISHMENT’

-

DAD Bryn Bloor has been hit with a £289 court bill after he was caught driving without a licence and insurance.

The 38-year-old was stopped driving a BMW car in Station Street, Middleport, at 9pm on April 25.

Prosecutor Zoe Leese told North Staffordshire Justice Centre that Bloor got out of the front driver’s seat and two other men from the passenger door.

Officers carried out checks and discovered the defendant did not have a licence or insurance.

Bloor, of Ash Bank Road, Werrington, pleaded guilty to driving without a licence and driving without insurance. Representing himself, Bloor said: “I have nothing to say. I am just embarrassed to be stood here. I just apologise and will take the punishment. There is no excuse. I should not have been driving and I was.”

Magistrates fined Bloor £120 and ordered him to pay £135 costs and a £34 surcharge.

They handed him a further six points on his licence, which means he is disqualified for six months under the totting up procedure.
