GIRL, 10, ATTACKED AFTER TROUBLE IN PARK

POLICE were called in after disorder broke out at a city park. The trouble in Tunstall Park - involved a group of schoolchildren.

Parents said that a 10-year-old girl was attacked, with two women having to step in to break up the trouble at 5.50pm on Thursday.

A police spokesman said: “We have spoken with the parents of those involved but they do not wish to pursue a complaint.”
