CITY MURDER SET TO FEATURE ON TV

THE murder of a teenager from Stoke-on-trent is set to feature in a new television documentary.

Sky true crime series What The Killer Did Next will tell the story of Megan Newton, aged 18, who was murdered during 2019.

Joseph Trevor – the son of a retired police officer – raped, strangled and stabbed Megan at her flat off Fletcher Road, Stoke.

The two had known each other from their schooldays at Trentham Academy.

Trevor, of Danebower Road, Trentham, was eventually handed a life prison sentence with a minimum term of 21 years and 65 days.

A date for the documentary has not yet been revealed.
