‘Labour interested only in the capital’

-

I HAD to laugh at Lisa Nandy’s suggestion that under ‘Levelling Up’ Crossrail levels of investment of £19billion will be applied to Stoke-on-trent if Labour gets elected.

Perhaps we should look back to the last Labour government’s commitments to the area.they never mentioned ‘Levelling Up’ in any of the years from 1997 to 2010.

Levelling Up is a Conservative policy merely copied by Labour in desperation.

This is the very same Labour Party that closed Wedgwood, Barlaston and Norton Bridge stations in 2004 and followed it by closing Etruria in 2005, three years before it gave approval for Crossrail in London to be built!

Labour are a Londoncentric party these days. That’s where they love to spend the money, not places like Stoke-on-trent where the people and their views don’t matter any more.

They are only interested in us electing an MP from outside the area to back this up.

Yes we too would love buses running empty every 10 minutes on every route from dawn to dusk even on a

Sunday like in London, but it will never happen, especially under Labour.
