Support from local business recognised by Dougie Mac...

-

BUSINESSES which have donated time, money, services and gifts to the Dougie Mac have been recognised at an annual awards ceremony.

More than 40 firms from across the city attended the 2022 Business Partnership Awards at the bet365 stadium earlier this month – for the first time since before the pandemic. Bronze, silver, gold and platinum awards were given out to recognise businesses which donated more than £5,000 to the charity since January 2021, including Altecnic Ltd, KMF Precision Sheet Metal, Geens Chartered Accountants and Hanley Economic Building Society.

While milestone awards for donations of more than £100,000, £250,000 and £500,000 were also handed out to a handful of firms including bet365, Beswicks Legal and SDL Group. Other awards given out on the day included supporter and supplier excellence as well as charity and collection box champion.

Dougie Mac CEO David Webster thanked businesses for their support.

He said: “As Dougie Mac approaches our 50th anniversary since inception in 1973, we do so with tremendous optimism and a clear strategy for the future as a single hospice, financially robust and with a mighty reputation as a local charity that is worthy of the wonderful support we rely on from the people and the businesses in Stoke-on-trent and North Staffordshire. “We are an ambitious, contemporary, multi-faceted hospice and I hope you will want your businesses to be alongside the Dougie Mac as we continue to grow and to broaden our influence and impact. Thank you for your wonderful support.”
