Gladstone means ‘so much to area’

-

IT WAS good to see the plight of the local museums, especially Gladstone Pottery Museum, brought to the fore again by Phil Rowley (The Sentinel, May 12).

As a member of the local history group run by the U3A, I know Phil, who is our leader, and how very much he cares about the museum and its staff and volunteers, and its future.

I can appreciate how much Gladstone means to the area. Friends from all over the country have told me how much they have enjoyed The Great Pottery Thrown Down television programme on Channel 4, which gave such a feel for the area, not known before.

Thank you for letting Phil speak on behalf of many.
