KIDS KEPT OFF SCHOOL AFTER LOCKDOWN

-

PARENTS have kept their children off school - after reports of ‘two machetewielding yobs’ threatening pupils.

They were left terrified after discovering that St Peter’s Academy, in Fenton, had been placed in lockdown on Wednesday afternoon.

The school called in police at 3.15pm on Wednesday.

But both Staffordshire Police and the school have failed to respond to the reports of yobs armed with machetes and knives and a claim that one child was slashed across his upper body in the incident.

In a letter to parents, Principal Michael Astley said: “The decision was made to go into lockdown after consultation with the police regarding two members of the public.

“Soon after the police had arrived and assessed the situation, they advised that it was safe for staff and students to leave the academy.”
