KIDS’ NURSERY PLAN FOR PART OF FORMER PUB

A DISUSED pub could be turned into a nursery - if city planners give the go-ahead.

Developers want to convert the ground floor of the former Regent pub, in Whieldon Road, Fenton, pictured.

Now they have asked Stoke-on-trent City Council for permission to carry out the work. Plans submitted for approval state that eight fulltime jobs will be created, if the authority grants permission.

The work will also see the number of car parking spaces cut by three to 12. The council will make a decision on the application in due course.
