HANDMADE: BRITAIN’S BEST WOODWORKER – THE FINAL
He’s coming home… well not quite, but
Becks, pictured, is back in East London where his footballing journey began.
In this series, David joins grassroots under-14s side, Westward Boys, hoping to pull them up from the threat of relegation to glory.
He says: “I grew up in East London. What did I learn the most? Work ethic, sacrifice, dedication. If you want to get somewhere, you have to work hard. I’ve always wanted to give back to football. This league is where it all began for me.”
It’s a mammoth task as the team is at rock bottom – they haven’t won a game all season. But David pitches himself as a footballing Yoda, hoping to pass on wisdom that will change their fortunes.

It may not be the most riveting of all the TV talent formats, but it’s barking up the right tree for scale and sustainability. This is the final and three remaining woodworkers – Jacob, Chloe and Lauren – attempt to chisel their way to the title.
Their last and most ambitious big build yet is to create a home bar.
It must be dramatic, unique, sophisticated and at least one-metre tall, while for their last technical challenge, they must design and carve out a sympathetic bar sign to go with it.
