ARREST AFTER SHOP WORKER’S ‘KNIFE TERROR’
A KNIFEMAN threatened a member of staff in a terrifying shop robbery.
The victim, a man in his 20s, told police his attacker pulled out the blade when challenged to pay for a basket of women’s beauty products at the store in High Street, Tunstall.
He and another man then fled on a white Carrera bicycle.
A 29-year-old city man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery. He was taken to custody while police try to track down the other suspect.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said the victim was ‘shaken but unurt’. The stolen goods have been recovered.
Now officers are urging anyone with information about the raid, which happened just before 8pm on Tuesday, to call 101, quoting incident 696 of November 8.
