Security staff strike

SECURITY guards at a leading university are to go on strike in a dispute over issues including pay.

The Independent Workers’ Union of Great Britain (IWGB) said hundreds of outsourced security workers at University College London (UCL) will walk out on November 14, 15 and 16.

The workers are demanding pay rates of £15 an hour, union recognition and an end to outsourcing.
