HOMES PLANS FOR FORMER CLINIC

-

A FORMER health clinic could be turned into homes if planners agree.

Developers are hoping the fresh attempt to convert the old health centre in Abbey Hulton is approved.

Previous proposals – for 17 and 15 flats – were rejected amid concerns over parking and ‘many of the units not achieving an acceptable living environment’.

Now Stoke-on-trent City Council has been asked to approve a development encompassing 14 flats at the Leek Road site.

Applicant Rowlands Investments Ltd says the new flats have a larger floorspace than before, thanks to the reduction in number and two extensions.

A transport statement has also been provided which the developer says will address the concerns over parking.

The council will make a decision on the application in due course.
