crime. Negotiations to lease this place of worship to the New Testament Church of God have yet to be concluded.

Designation: Grade II

Condition: poor

Occupancy: religious organisation

This Commissioners church was built c1830 and consists of a nave with galleries and a west tower; the chancel was added in 1868. The tower clock stage is subdivided by blind pointed panels with engaged shafts secured by ferrous metal fixings and several of these have failed and fallen to the ground. Holding repairs to secure defective plaster ceilings above the galleries were carried out in 2017 and water ingress is suspected to be the cause of the problem. A National Lottery Heritage Fund delivery grant was awarded in December 2021 and repair works were due to start in summer 2022.
