This 19th centrury church was enlarged to its present size in 1908 and consists of a nave and chancel with a north porch, south aisle, south east chapel, vestry and a south-west tower with a broached spire. The church was affected by a fire in April 2022 which resulted in damage to the nave and chancel roofs together with the loss of glazing to the chancel east window.

All of the interior is contaminat­ed by the effects of the fire. The building has been secured and damage is in the process of being assessed by the insurer’s Loss Adjuster prior to repairs and refurbishm­ent was set to begin in summer 2022.
