Alan (Graeme Stevely), pictured below with Colin (Jonathan Watson), is laid up on the sofa in a surgical boot and struggling to fend for himself after an accident. But he’s quite enjoying himself.

Michelle (Joy Mcavoy) is getting frustrated because she’s waiting on him hand and foot. As she heads out to do the shopping, it’s down to Beth (Arabella Weir) and Eric (Alex Norton) to take care of him.
