‘Once you try it, you won’t go back’

Jordan Wilson, from the West Midlands, loves creating magical Christmases for his family, and Park savings help him to do it

I love Christmas and I always want it to be special. About five years ago, I and my family were a bit financially unstable. I saw an advert for Park online and thought it might be useful. I checked out the reviews and asked family and friends, and no one had a bad word to say. So I started saving just £5 a week, and it helped massively towards that Christmas.

After that, there was no going back for me. I love knowing that I can put money away and that I can’t touch it until I’ve met my goal and everything is fully paid off. I can’t help dipping into my regular savings at different points in the year.

Seeing people’s faces when they open their gifts is one of the best parts of Christmas for me. I love making my family happy. My other big spending temptation is Christmas decorations. We have the tree up from mid-november, and this year we’ve gone for a classic red, gold and green theme. It’s brilliant to know that everything is paid for and I haven’t got any debt to worry about in January. It means I enjoy Christmas all the more.
