HELP ON HAND AT CITY’S ‘LOUNGE’

ADVICE and support on a range of health and lifestyle issues is available at a new ‘Community Lounge’.

Alongside representatives from mental health charities, housing charities, ‘Beat the Cold’ and Carelink, Covid-19 vaccinators will be on hand to talk about the vaccine at the new event, which has launched in Blurton.

Cllr Lorraine Beardmore, cabinet member for culture, leisure, and public health at the city council, said: “We’re delighted to offer these community spaces, a one-stop-shop for support and advice on keeping warm this winter, energy bills, and budgeting alongside healthcare advice and Covid-19 vaccination.

“We’re working with care partners to keep people well this winter and beyond.”
