ARREST MADE IN CANNABIS RAID
NEARLY 200 plants were seized when police uncovered a cannabis farm in a village.
Officers confiscated 182 ‘mature’ plants after carrying out the raid in Whitmore.
A 29-year-old man, from Merseyside, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug.
He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said the raid happened just before noon on Tuesday.
He added: “We acted on intelligence and forced entry into an address in Whitmore.
“We found 182 mature cannabis plants inside five separate rooms which were seized along with growing equipment.”
