The Ipstones 2023 calendar has been launched at a cream tea event. Ipstones Calendar Group – run by Marie Mcgowan-griffin and Carole Cluer, pictured, – started the sale of next year’s edition at Ipstones Memorial Hall during an event organised with the hall commitee.

The Ipstones Picture Calendar 2023 features 60 photos taken from around the community by residents.

Profits from the sale are donated to local good causes.

Marie said: “We received a very good response from people sending in pictures of the area. In total we had 100 to choose from.

“Many of our calendars are bought as

Christmas presents and are sent all around the world.

“Despite costs going up, especially this year, our price remains the same, at just £8. Over half of our print has already been sold, so don’t leave it until the last minute if you want one.

“All the proceeds are given to good causes around the village. We have donated £200 to the Brownies; £100 to the best kept village organisers and £600 to purchase benches in the children’s playground.

“A big thank you to all that participate in this fundraising project by sending in photos and buying the calendar, and also to local businesses for advertising in it and for helping us to sell it.”
