BRIGHT START:

Caring Dominic Schofield has been honoured for his help supporting men with mental health problems. Dominic, who works at Cygnet St Augustine’s, in Cobridge Road, Hanley, won the Bright Future accolade at the company’s first Staff Achievement Awards. The award recognises the positive impact he has made at the specialist high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service. Nick Ruffley, of Cygnet, said Dominic only joined in February but had quickly become an excellent carer. A delighted Dominic said it felt ‘overwhelming’ to win, adding: “Working alongside the patients is the best thing about my job, being able to help people going through the most difficult time of their lives is incredibly rewarding.” Dominic, centre, is pictured with his award, TV presenter JJ Chalmers and Mr Ruffley.
