BRASS BAND OFFERS WARM WELCOME AT REHEARSALS

-

A BRASS band wants to help families beat the cost-of-living crisis – by inviting them to watch their weekly rehearsals.

Audley Brass Band wants to ‘give something back’ to the community and is throwing open the doors of its rehearsal room in Dean Hollow.

Musical Director Tom Hancock said: “We are acutely aware of the strains that many households currently find themselves under and we want to give our supporters a reason to smile over the coming months.

“As a self-funded charitable organisation, we are forever grateful for the support the local community gives to us and we want to give a little something back. Our bandroom premises are in use twice a week – we have spare capacity for a small audience, so we thought why not invite those supporters to share a warm space and hot drink with us.”

The band is preparing for their free Christmas concert on Saturday, December 10 (7.30pm) at Audley Methodist Church. Rehearsals take place on Wednesdays (79.30pm) and Sundays (5.15-9pm).

Pre-book your place at rehearsals by contacting the band via audleybrass.org or by emailing audleyband@hotmail.com.
