TASTE TEST

-

I WAS pleasantly surprised to see the World Cup was on and found myself watching England v Iran when I went in on Monday with two other diners.

I ordered my usual mini fish and chips, with curry sauce this time, and waited for my food to be prepared. The fish was already cooked and was handed over to me in an instant.

At £4.80, it’s one of the cheapest prices I’ve paid in this series. The portion size was just right. The batter on the fish was really crispy and had a good crunch. The fish inside was good too.

The chips were on the thicker side, much to my delight. The best bit of the meal was the curry sauce – it was packed full of chunky bits.

Fish Net has a simple chip shop menu offering all the classics. They’re open 11am-6.30pm, Monday to Saturday. And I would highly recommend it for its food.
