Two pupils are celebrating success in a nationwide maths competition.

Times Tables Rock Stars is a carefully sequenced programme of multiplication and division practice. For two days last week, Park Hall Academy students competed against others from 3,870 schools across England in answering as many questions correctly as they could. Park Hall were 27th and pupil Evan Parkes (above left) finished third, while Leo Robson (right) was 31st out of 704,979 pupils across England. Assistant principal Emma Hawkes said: “We were totally blown away with the determination and admirable attitudes our pupils showed towards the England Rocks competition.”
