Cheesemaker Quicke’s and chef and food writer Gill Meller have a lot in common. Both are interested in connecting people with natural, sustainable and ethical sources of food. Another connection? Their surroundings are their inspiration. For Gill, that’s Lyme Regis, where he lives, and nearby River Cottage HQ, where he works. Quicke’s, which has produced cheese for 500 years, is all about capturing the goodness of the grass and soil of its Devon farm to distinguish the flavours of its cheeses.

Courtesy of Quicke’s, one lucky winner will be going on a culinary adventure at River Cottage HQ in Devon – Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s award-winning cookery school and organic smallholding in the beautiful countryside near the Jurassic coast. The prize involves joining Gill for a day of seasonal cooking, creating a seasonal starter, main course and pudding after gathering a few of the essential ingredients from the River Cottage farm. When the cooking is done, you’ll get to sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labour.
