Cranberry & lime vodka
Time to prepare: 10 mins, plus daily turning for a week Leave to infuse: at least a month
Peel of one unwaxed lime 2 tbsp of sugar 50g dried cranberries 1 cinnamon stick 450ml good quality vodka*
1 Have a large, clean storage jar with a tight-seal lid ready. Add the lime, sugar, cranberries and cinnamon stick to the bottom of the jar.
2 Add the vodka, stir to submerge and mix the ingredients. Seal the lid and store the jar in a cool, dark place.
3 For the first week, swirl or turn the jar gently to help the sugar dissolve.
4 After a month – taste; if happy, strain the ingredients from the vodka, wash the jar and return vodka to it or decant into clean bottles to give as gifts. For a stronger flavour, continue to infuse and test every few days.
