Sweet Adeline
Hot and fruity, a Sweet Adeline is best described as iced tea without the ice.
Serves 1
for the cinnamon syrup: 3 cinnamon sticks 250ml water 200g caster sugar for the sweet adeline: 60ml pomegranate juice 1 tbsp cinnamon syrup 1 bag black tea
150ml boiling water
1 Begin by making the syrup. Add the cinnamon sticks, water and sugar to a pan and heat.
2 Simmer for 15 mins. Remove from the heat and leave to steep for 30 mins, then discard the cinnamon sticks.
3 To make the Sweet Adeline, pour the pomegranate juice and cinnamon syrup into a mug. Add the tea bag and top up with boiling water. Allow to steep for 2 mins before removing the tea bag. »
