Oat cream

Oat cream is handy for more than tasty toasties. Use it for vegan pasta sauces or béchamel sauce too.

Makes around 500ml

75g rolled oats 500ml water pinch of salt 1 Blend all the ingredient­s together and leave to steep for about 1 hr.

2 Blend again for 1 min, then strain through muslin and into a bottle. Stored in the fridge it’ll keep for 5 days.
