Closing the door on the world while you enjoy a long, peaceful soak in the tub is sometimes all the comfort you need. Use this time to gather your thoughts, breathe deeply and mindfully and to let the warm water soothe away any aches and anxieties. The addition of some natural mind and body boosting ingredients will make your bath work even harder – you just need to lie back and relax.

SENSUAL SOAK

Combine the essential oils with the Epsom salts and stir in the baking soda. Mix well to create a richly scented paste.

Either slather the paste onto your skin and rinse off with a loofah or a flannel, or roll it into a ball and drop under a hot running tap to make the whole room smell incredible. Then simply recline and soak it all in.

HEALING OILS

Adding essential oils to bath water gives you a double hit of their healing properties; through your nose as you inhale the scent and through your skin. Always buy good quality oils, use sparingly, and avoid if you’re pregnant.
