A FIRST AID KIT
According to the NHS, a well-stocked home kit needs the following: a variety of plasters, sterile gauze dressings (including at least a couple for eyes), bandages and disposable gloves. Add in some tweezers, scissors, safety pins, and sticky tape. Don’t forget distilled water for cleaning any wounds, and eye wash, with a bath, too. Then think creams: for skin rashes, sting relief, an antiseptic and an antihistamine. And the last year has reinforced the usefulness of having a thermometer to hand, as well as cleansing wipes. Finally, don’t forget the painkillers, and the invaluable cough medicine.
