The Simple Things
A podcast and a piece of music to celebrate the month
l Get Outside with Ordnance survey We’re all ready for a few adventures now
and The Ordnance Survey has lots of ideas in this podcast series. We particularly enjoyed the Extreme Sleeps episode. Visit getoutside. ordnancesurvey.co.uk/ guides/getoutsidepodcast-series l ‘Breathless’, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Opening with birdsong and packed with fluffy clouds, bluebells and bubbling brooks, this is guaranteed to have you wanting to run up the nearest hill, arms spread in the manner of Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music. It uses nature in all its vital glory to describe love, and is a bit of a love song to nature, too. It might replace Salzburg’s mountains with the South Downs, but, if that run up the hill doesn’t leave you breathless, this song will.
