The blossom month

This is a glorious month for wild flowers, and much of the year’s blossom is on the trees. It’s a gorgeous time to visit an orchard and see it while the year’s fruit is all still potential. With luck, you’ll see the bees buzzing around making sure everything is pollinated well and the process of fruit making is underway. Look out for apple and pear blossom, while the big, pretty blossom of quince is a real showstopper.
