A GOOD READ

I'm a recent arrival to Guernsey, so reading The Book of Ebenezer Le Page by G.B. Edwards was something of a rite of passage. This fictional autobiography of a cantankerous Guernseyman did help me understand the psyche better, but its exploration of friendship, death and how we deal with change is worth it for anyone.
