Favourite market
FERÍA
Imagine a very small Latino slice of Camden Town, selling everything from candles to hipster clothing and food. Jirón Unión 108, Barranco.
Favourite way to spend an hour
I love to walk or run along the sea cliffs, watching the surfers and occasional dolphins below.
The best place to see at night
The bohemian Barranco district is full of bars and restaurants, especially the main square, the Parque
Municipal de Barranco. It’s just a great place to hang out at night, grab a bite and maybe try a classic Peruvian Pisco sour cocktail or two.
The best view
The best view is from the top of the sea cliffs. There are various points where you can see them stretching off in each direction. Any time of day is great, but watching the sun set over the Pacific is hard to beat.
The one thing to see
The inside of a cevichería. It could be almost any cevichería, from an internationallyacclaimed one that appears in all the guidebooks to just a neighborhood cevichería on the corner. It’s hard to go wrong wherever you end up.
