A zest for sustainable fashion

GUDRUN SJÖDÉN’S LATEST COLLECTION IS A NOD TO ITS NORDIC HERITAGE AND FEATURES BOLD BOTANICAL PRINTS IN A RICH PALETTE OF JEWEL AND CITRUS TONES

-

Taking inspiration from Nordic folklore and botanical motifs, with bold patterns and rich colours interspersed throughout, Gudrun Sjödén’s eclectic Christmas collection is a joy for the senses. Inspired by heritage textile art from Scandinavia, the collection highlights the beauty of nature in its bold prints – from folksy roses to frosty flowers, arctic starflowers and golden oranges.

Central to the new line-up is zesty Pomerans Christmas Gold, a delicious collection of citrus prints that evoke the scent of oranges pierced with cloves, all in a lustrous palette. The floral Orsa print in deep tomato red and black was inspired by a small artisan bag, crafted from patterned fabric scraps. It can be found on soft velour and jersey and works well with layering pieces such as tunics, loose trousers and leggings. While the Leksand range features swirly graphical roses printed in tomato red, grass green, black and white. Combine with Gudrun Sjödén’s brushed alpaca sweaters and cardigans in a popping palette of burnt orange and turquoise for a striking yet soft layered look. And stay snug and stylish in socks and mittens, also made from its soft alpaca blend, which feature beautifully embroidered patterns in vibrant colour combinations.

Your home can be just as stylish as your outfit with Gudrun Sjödén’s latest homewares. The striking block-printed Orsa table runner is the ideal backdrop for festive get-togethers, while flowers and foliage are a recurrent theme on ceramic mugs and textiles. Its hand-painted baubles and iron candle tree, meanwhile, are fast becoming cult collectibles and will add a bohemian ambience this Christmas.

No matter what catches your eye, all Gudrun Sjödén pieces are crafted through sustainable production and are designed to become heirloom pieces that stand the test of time, sure to be loved for many, many years to come.
