Home is where the love heart is

TONY GRANT, from Moffat, had been depressed since losing his wife.

His friends took him on a cruise, hoping it would do him some good.

One evening he was with a group of fellow holidaymakers. After one too many brandies, his friend needed a hand back to his cabin.

He was helped by one of the women they’d met that night, Monika, who was just getting over a separation.

As she was returning from the cabin, Tony met her at the end of the corridor.

They began walking and realised, out of 3,800 cabins, that they were staying next door to each other.

Hitting it off, they went out together the next day.

After the cruise, Tony returned to Belgium, where he was living, and Monika went back to Switzerland, but the pair promised to see each other again soon.

Following a brief meeting in Belgium, Tony suggested their next date be in Scotland, where he was going to visit his aunt.

They were driving through Dumfries when they saw a sign for a housing development from Story Homes at Summerpark.

They decided to go for a look on the spur of the moment and were taken to a plot . . . that they immediately fell in love with.

The next day they decided to buy the house to begin their new life together.

So when it came to their wedding last month, they only had one place in mind for the ceremony — home!

With the two sales advisers from Story Homes invited, Tony and Monika agreed it was a real happy ending to their own story.
