Duffel bag clue in hunt for doctor’s murderer

POLICE were left baffled as they hunted in Edinburgh and Aberdeen for the murderer of Dr Brenda Page.

They were searching for a dark green canvas duffel bag which was thought to contain the murder weapon.

Dr Page was murdered in her Aberdeen tenement the previous week. She had been bludgeoned to death in her bedroom.

Since her death, it was revealed Dr Page had worked for an Edinburgh escort agency.

Her killer has never been found.

Almost 1,000 holidaymak­ers slept on the floor at Glasgow Airport because of industrial action by French air traffic controller­s.

Passengers who travelled from Aberdeen and Dundee spent more than 24 hours in the terminal.
