Owen’s financial worries take another turn for the worse with a summons to attend a bankruptcy hearing. It’s followed by a visit from the bailiffs who are ready to take what they can. Anna and Owen arrive to find their home being emptied.

When she finally leaves the pub for the first time since the break- in, she ovehears Phil and Shirley, and learns the attack was carried out on her fiance’s orders. Distraught, she vows to flee Walford.

Discovering no action will be taken against Murray, Alan is furious and Kirsty considers telling the truth. Challenged by brother Angus, who is suspicious of her reaction, she admits all, but is still worried about telling their father.
