FLEETWOOD were denied an impressive win over Sheffield United as Che Adams snatched an equaliser in controversial circumstances.
The Blades trailed 2- 1 when they were awarded a penalty in stoppagetime at the end of the match, with Ryan Flynn clipped in the area by Amari’i Bell.
But there was a lengthy delay before Adams was free to convert the spotkick, as home keeper Chris Maxwell was struck by an object thrown from the crowd.
The visitors had opened the scoring, with Matt Done slotting the ball low past Maxwell.
The lead lasted just two minutes, though, as Ash Hunter nodded in.
