Name change

MARTIN Docherty, the SNP MP for West Dunbartonshire, appeared on parliament’s order paper this week with a new name.

He’s gained a double barrel and is now Martin Docherty-Hughes.

Turns out he married in January and has taken partner John Hughes’ surname. As any newlywed knows, it’s a hassle changing all the forms when you take a married name so he’s only just got round to telling parliament of the new moniker.
