Feathers are spiritual sign

-

Dear June

MUM was the centre of our family and, although elderly, her death in 2014 was a shock.

She was a worrier but showed great strength before her passing and the family was so proud of her.

Does she know how loved and missed she and Dad are?

Tell them I appreciate the feathers! Elizabeth, via email.

I have read for many families that were surprised and proud of a loved one who, prior to passing, had been worried and anxious but then handled the transition extremely well.

When the physical body deteriorates, it is a very natural response to try to hang on to life.

There are many carers, nurses and doctors, as well as loved ones, who have witnessed dramatic shifts from fearful and anxious to a calmness that can be felt by everyone in the room just prior to a passing.

When the door to this side of life starts to close, it reaches a certain stage and then the door to the next begins to open.

During this, many see their loved ones waiting and realise they’re not alone.

This is a huge comfort to them as well as family members who witness it.

Your mum would have been aware of your dad and knew she would be safe with him.

Together they will watch over you all until you can be together again.

White feathers have always been regarded as a symbol of a spiritual presence.

Many find them in the strangest places and at times when support is very much needed.
